Brian joined KKI’s R&D department in 1993 as part of his BEng (Hons) Engineering degree, having previously worked as a toolmaker. On completing his degree he joined the company in Production Engineering, moving on to become Supervisor for the Assembly Shop in 1996, before being promoted to QA Manager in 1998. He upgraded the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, implemented the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and developed and implemented systems to ensure compliance with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EU. In 2003, he was promoted to QHSE Director and is now responsible for KKI’s compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PED and ATEX, as well as maintaining the company’s Health and Safety Management systems.
