Severe Service Valve Solutions From The Specialists
During more than 40 years of supplying valves into the oil and gas retrieval industries, KKI has built up a wealth of knowledge and expertise in delivering valve solutions for the most arduous service conditions. We have developed a range of advanced, high-quality severe service control, rotary and surface choke valves that put KKI at the forefront of severe service solutions for the oil and gas and petrochemical industries.
KKI offers high-performance, durable valve solutions for every type of problematic application, from high pressure, high-temperature environments to sub-zero temperatures. We offer systems designed for cavitation, flashing, erosion, contaminated fluids, corrosion, high velocity, vibration, noise and energy dissipation.
What is Severe Service?
There is no strict definition of a severe service application but, for liquid services, it is assumed to have one or more of the following characteristics:
- Pressure drop of more than 50 bar (700psi)
- Flashing services P1 - P2 > 30 bar (435psi)
- Multi-phase P1 - P2 > 30 bar (435psi)
- Contaminated service.
Trim design - the key to severe service performance
KKI has supplied many valves for these demanding applications and our experience shows that for flashing, multi-phase and contaminated services it is absolutely essential to correctly specify the trim design. Specifying the wrong trim can result in rapid erosion damage and wear, which is why KKI’s expertise is so valuable to our customers.
KKI has developed a new generation of Vector velocity control trims to deliver accurate control and long-life performance, free from cavitation, erosion, noise and vibration - in even the most arduous service conditions.
Optimum performance - for life
By consulting our specialists from the start, we can help to ensure that your valves perform at optimum levels for the long-term, saving you time and money and minimising disruption to your operations.
