- SUBJECT TO SATISFACTORY HYDRAULIC TESTS, IT IS SOMETIMES A REQUIREMENT TO TEST FOR EXTERNAL LEAKAGE OR SEAT LEAKAGE USING A GAS, USUALLY NITROGEN.
- THE GAS FILLED VALVE WILL BE SUBMERGED IN WATER TO EXHIBIT BUBBLES IF LEAKING.
- ALTERNATIVELY HELIUM OR A TRACE OF HELIUM MAY BE USED TO FACILITATE MINUTE LEAK DETECTION.
